The Impact of Underlying Conditions on Quality-of-Life Measurement Among Patients with Chronic Wounds, as Measured by Utility Values: A Review with an Additional Study
The comorbidity associated with the lowest utility value is what might most influence the QoL of patients with chronic wounds, and this finding needs further investigation.
In the last 10 years, Dr. Carter has worked interactively with the FDA on various projects, including the approval of new endpoints for chronic wound trials. She also volunteers her time with the Wound Care Collaborative Community (WCCC) and currently chairs the clinical trial reporting work group. She also led a WHO international project in South America to improve database collection of cataract surgeries in 5 countries.
