Book Synopsis

The loss of a daughter (Tina) caused a prominent neurosurgery father (Sam) to try everything to bring his attorney wife (Veronica) out of a catatonic state. But success meant divorce and the mother teamed up with her remaining stymied architect daughter (Io) to start a construction company that became mired in illegal activities. The protective mother (Alice) of the other daughter (Maya) used her CPA knowledge to make it her life’s mission to bring the company down. In the midst of it all, the two daughters fell in love and tried to get married. It went so badly none of them speak to each other now. Can they work out their differences in ‘reality’ simulations?

A senior operative in Heaven (Kapurna) is given the task by the pair of beings (Vic and Juno) who try to maintain order while dealing with the AI that runs Heaven under the aliens’ control. With the quintet lying comatose in a Boston hospital, Kapurna constantly struggles to manage his subjects’ experiences because there’s all kinds of interference coming from outside of Heaven, the aliens, and the AI as well as the balance problem, and he doesn’t even know what that is. Attempts by Vic, Juno, and their colleagues to solve the balance problem will ultimately provoke a serious reaction. Can Kapurna keep his subjects alive and on track?

About the Author

Marissa Carter is a semi-retired medical researcher and is the author or coauthor of over 150 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in medical and chemical research. Her interests include worldwide travel, nature, reading, and a fascination of the afterlife. She continues to explore the NDE literature and trained in Dr. Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique, which explores previous incarnated lives and life between lives. She also analyzed much of the New Age spiritual literature as research background for writing The Balance Problem. She currently resides in New Zealand.
